Assassin's Creed Artbooks?

I know I mentioned something about art books a few weeks ago but I have another question. I have most unexpectedly become a total Assassin's Creed fangirl. A HUGE fangirl. I make the horrible mistake of canceling my preorder for the collector's edition for god knows what reason which left me without the art book and that sexyfine Ezio statue. I bough this thinking it was the art book but it really just a really nifty guide with some concept art in the back.
I am looking on eBay for the artbook with lots of results. The damn books look very similar but it seems the artbook is more rectangular. Does anyone have it and how extensive is it? Also which is better for the first game. Art of Assassin's Creed or the Limited Edition artbook?
I need these for some cosplay help *COUGH*Leonardo*COUGH* and some general pretty art because what I have seen is just lovely. Any help will be great.

Purchase: Yesasia

09. 헤어진 후에야 알 수 있는 것 (Inst.)
You know how sometimes singers just promote the wrong song? I mean, sometimes, they have a bunch of great songs in their album, but they choose the most generic song to promote the album, which kind of sucks since that one song doesn't really represent the whole album.
That is what I'd say about Younha. For the past couple of albums, really, she had great material, but she just had to choose a song like 1, 2, 3 as a promotion song. Such a pity.

The first DSi-exclusive DS game? KORG DS-10 Plus.
Dec. 10th, 2009 | 07:34 pm
posted by: abatheguy in nintendo_ds
I saw this on Gamestop.com recently. To be released mid-January 2010.

One of the tidbits mentioned in the description is the following:
Optimized for the Nintendo DSi for 12-voice polyphony and to double the power of the original KORG DS-10: 4 analog synthesizer tracks and 8 dedicated drum tracks, increasing the total number of individual tracks from 6 to 12 (feature not available when used on regular DS).
So it seems that it can be played on a regular DS, but not all options would be available. This looks like the first game that has expandable features when used with a DSi, is it not?
Hopefully I didn't waste my money on buying the original Korg DS-10 a few months ago. :P
EDIT: Probably a better term is "DSi-expandable", as you can still play the game with the DS but you'll get more features with the DSi. Anyway, any thoughts on this sequel? :)

omg, y'all. I just laughed so hard I think I scared my cat.
Y'know those shitty Evony ads with the giant boobs that say 'play now my lord'?
While looking at Sinfest, I just saw an ad for Atelier with a sexy 2D chick which informed me 'she is actually in our game my lord'.
That's what I call good advertising.

hi, all.
i'm new to the community, and though i've worked as a tester, i'm pretty new to xbox live.
what i'm wondering is this: is there anyone out there playing borderlands willing to play co-op with me? all my friends got this game before i did, and are level 50+. i'm at about 27, and i have yet to play co-op for more than about five minutes since it seems like the bulk of random matches i'm placed in contain teenage boys hell-bent on ignoring me and my character.
so... any takers? :)

DSi Questions

posted by: drewzangel12 in nintendo_ds
I have been researching the DSi, and I think I am going to ask for one for Christmas. I have a few questions, and am hoping to find some help here :)
I know that there is an SD card slot. Does the system come with a SD card? How much can it hold? Do I have the option to buy a bigger SD card if I want to be able to download more games/audio files?
And as far as internet use, I read that the DSi doesn't support websites where a flash player is required. Does anyone know of, or think there is a chance of Nintendo coming out with a flash player download for the DSi?
Lastly, I am excited for the mini games that can be downloaded. What are your favories from DSiWare? What DS cartridge games are minigames? Even as an adult, I love some of the games on Webkinz and Facebook like Farmville. Can anyone recommend any games like that, either downloadable or cartridge?
Anything else I need to know? Thanks so much! :)

Anybody been able to pick up Zelda: Spirit Tracks this week? What are your impressions on the game, so far/overall? At first, I was really annoyed with the game mostly because of a certain main character's personality. It just seemed like something out of a very corny anime. However, they simmered down about an hour into the game and I could focus on actually enjoying it.
Also, I was disappointed that you could only travel on a pre-determined path (Unlike WW and PH, where you could sail on your boat almost anywhere), but I've grown to love the train now that I can enter warps. I'm currently about to enter the final dungeon, but there are so many sidequests that I want to do, first! Nintendo really wants you to travel all over the world in this game.
If I were to summarize Spirit Tracks so far, I'd say that Nintendo took Phantom Hourglass and made it a generally better game with a bit more depth. It still follows the Wind Waker timeline and is actually a direct sequel to Phantom Hourglass, so expect several references to those games, as well as puzzle and overworld design (although they have some really challenging puzzles in this game). I guess Nintendo took the opportunity to take the Split Timeline theory and put Adult Link's timeline in the home console games and leave the Young Link timeline for handhelds? I actually like that idea if that's what they're going for.

I have to admit, I'm mostly just curious about this:
I love Quentin Tarantino's films and feel he does an excellent job with dialogue, as the lines spoken greatly contribute to the bigger picture. Anyway, I noticed on the DVD of both Kill Bill films there is the option to add Korean subtitles. My question is how closely the Korean subtitles follow the spoken word. Do they have the same punch and zing as the English words? Essentially, do the subtitles simply deliver the general point or do they have the deeper meaning inherent to their English counterparts.
Example (and I apologize, as there may be typos)
English:
As your leader, I encourage you from time to time and always in a respectful manner, to question my logic. If you're unconvinced a particular plan of action I've decided is the wisest, tell me so. But allow me to convince you, and I promise you right here and now no subject will ever be taboo. Except of course the subject that was just under discussion. The price you pay for bringing up either my Chinese or American heritage as a negative is... I collect your fucking head. Just like this fucker here! Now if any of you sons of bitches got anything else to say, NOW'S THE FUCKING TIME! ...I didn't think so.
Thank you.

I'm thinking about buying this game but I'd love it if anybody could give me their opinions on why it's so much better than the first one. I've read the reviews, but even though you can buy weapons, use people as distractions to escape, etc, how are the missions? I lost interest really early on in the first game because it got too repetitive.
ETA: Thank you everybody for the responses! It definitely seems promising and now I'll probably purchase it. :)

RPG thoughts

I'm unusual, because I don't mind random encounters in RPGs. As long as I have enough healing items, that's fine - I tend to go for 'Attack' and use 'Magic' just for healing.
One of the advantages of Final Fantasy 7 is that you can obtain an 'enemy lure' item to increawe the number of random battles (there's also an 'enemy away' that reduces the same.) The 'enemy lure' is so very useful when you're trying to level up as fast as possible: but I haven't come across any other rpg (not even a Final Fantasy) that has either of those abilities. I'm currently levelling-up my team on 'Lost Odyssey' and I am spending so much time wandering about, trying to find battles.
At least on games like "Grandia" (still an excellent game even though it's quite old) you can see the monsters and run at them when you want to level up. But invisible, random encounters are too few and far between for me.
What do you lasses (and lads) think about random encounters, and the options of increasing or decreasing the rates?
